Thought for the Day: "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."  Anais Nin

Today's EFT Quote:  "One of the real joys of my work is using EFT with children and pre-teens. Instead of a lifetime of struggle, they have this wonderful opportunity to let go of existing fears and traumas at a relatively young age. Plus they learn that they have the power to change how they interact with the world. What a great gift!" (Taken from this article)  Sandra Lewis

Today's Helpful Hint:  Here's a setup phrase you can try for motion sickness: "Even though my head thinks I ate something bad when the sensation of movement differs from what I see, I know it's only trying to keep me safe."

An insightful article with lots of good advice for therapists.  Email Gene and Visit Gene's website

Featured Article #2: The Roly Bug gets EFT’ed:  Felicity James writes this delightful article of how she helped hergrand-daughter to release her fear of the 'Roly Poly Bug' (wood louse to adults!). She uses drawing to help the child describe what bothers her and evaluate the intensity.  Email Felicity

Featured Article #3: EFT releases 'Poo stuck in my tummy':  Pascale Lutz helps her friend's 7 year old son, Brian, to deal with a constipation problem, which started when his mum was diagnosed with cancer. He had been waiting to see a consultant for 4 years(!) and with just 15 minutes of EFT, the matter was resolved. Notice how Pascale makes it fun for the little boy and they laugh together during the process.  Email Pascale and Visit Pascale's website

Featured Article #4: Dissolving a two year old bump on my thumb:  Judy Whitcraft shows how persistence pays off as she works on a lump in her thumb consistently over two months. Eventually the bump dissolves and releases the piece of gravel lodged inside which had caused it.  Email Judy and Visit Judy's website

Featured Article #5: EFT for test anxiety:  Cara Gubbins, PhD describes her workshops with students for test anxiety. The difference it makes can mean the difference between achieving and not achieving academic goals and realizing lifelong dreams.  Email Cara

How feelings in the body are related to emotional clearing:  Suzanne Zacharia from the UK gets slow results with her client's emotional issue until she links a feeling in his solar plexus with it.

Relieving the postman's pains:  Carolyn Reuben quickly applies EFT for her postman for his back pain and the pain from a dog bite.

EFT after an attack in the street:  Denis Franklin from Australia comes upon a friend being attacked in the streets and immediately applies EFT for the emotional trauma. Success. Wouldn't it be nice if we could apply EFT immediately after every traumatic experience?

An EFT Meditation:  Mayan Schraders from New Zealand gives us this EFT use for meditation. Mayan says, "In a relatively short time I feel like I have been meditating for hours. If I do this just before going to sleep I drift off very peacefully and have a great night sleep."

Sneaking up on the problem when you do EFT:  EFT is normally gentle in that it usually improves emotional issues without the pain of dragging one through old memories. In some cases, however, the client brings such intensity with them that it is best to "sneak up on the problem" to minimize any pain. This is an important part of mastery of the EFT process and EFT Master Patricia Carrington, PhD sheds professional light on this concept in her well written 3 part series.
